Strength & Plyometrics for Runners
PTU Strength & Plyometrics Programming for Runners was created in collaboration with Doctors of Physical Therapy at PTU and is currently managed by Dr. Laura Galib who is an original creator of the programming. All Strength & Plyo courses are 6 weeks long and include 3 workouts per week. Your phase of programming is determined by your completion of previous programming. Strength & Plyos programming is available to those who are currently not injured. Level 1 Plyometric & Strength Training for Runners-
This is a 6 week program created by a Doctor of Physical Therapy focused on building running-specific strength and power for optimal performance. This is an introductory program, perfect for those without much past strength training experience. The program includes 3 full-body workouts per week, and will provide you with a solid strength and plyometric foundation to reduce risk of running-related injuries and keep you healthy for the running season! At the completion of this program, you will have developed the strength and plyometric base necessary to be a stronger, faster and more robust runner! Completing this program will allow you to progress to Level 2 which expands on the concepts introduced here.
Level 2 Plyometric & Strength Training for Runners-
This is a 6 week program created by a Doctor of Physical Therapy focused on building running-specific strength and power for optimal performance. This program builds off of the foundational movements from the Level 1 program, and includes 3 full-body workouts per week. Combine this program with your current running training plan to support injury prevention and maximize strength! This program is suitable for those with previous strength training experience or those who have already completed the Level 1 program.
Level 1 or 2 plus in per upgrade!
This package includes the appropriate level as above as well as a full in-person running assessment! This package is for those who are fully dedicated to their best possible running selves!
